Project Description

Project / Program Description

Three-phase (5 MW’s/phase) community-owned Solar PV Project located in Lucerne Valley; a rural, severely-economically disadvantaged community in the County of San Bernardino’s Mojave Desert. Over 50% of the residents who will benefit from this project are low to  moderate income households.

Project lead is the Lucerne Valley Economic Development Association a non-profit 501c-3.  Our Team is working with Southern California Edison to develop interconnection and distribution planning to meet demands of the community and the capacity of existing transmission grid.  The project will infuse a needy community with affordable energy, local employment opportunities as well as an economic stimulus.
