A Workshop to Support Solar in Your Community Challenge Teams
Co-located with the Solar 2018 National Solar Conference
Tuesday • August 7, 2018 • Boulder, Colorado
Solar 2018 has presentations and special guest speakers, from places like NREL, NOAA, Rocky Mountain Institute (RMI), Sandia National Labs, Vote Solar, and other centers of solar research and action. Keynote speakers include Hunter Lovins, co-founder of RMI and author ofFiner Future: Creating an Economy in Service to Life and Rob Wallace, CEO of the Baltimore-based non-profit Power 52. Power 52 also has a Challenge project, so that puts our program front and center!
The Race to the Finish… and Beyond Workshop is free to Challenge participants and supports your efforts in the $5 million contest to support innovative and replicable community-based solar business models and programs for under-served communities.
Register with a Challenge Discount Code and we will know whether you're coming for the one-day or full event. The Discount Codes are- Tuesday100 to attend the Free Race to the Finish Challenge Workshop ONLY (no extra days)- Challenge60 for team participants, 60% off the applicable cost, available as supplies last.- Challenge40 for all Workshop registrants working on the Challenge, who wish to attend the full Solar 2018 conference. This includes coaches, too. We have enough of these spaces to accommodate you!
At the Workshop, we will focus on peer to peer learning. In other words. You will hear directly from other Challenge participants, about how they overcame the same kind of barriers that you have faced. And you will be encouraged to share your solutions, too. In fact, if your team is not yet planning to give a short presentation at the workshop, contact us; we will accept additional speakers as space allows. In all, the Workshop will focus on:
· How to outline your unique success story and present it to Challenge competition reviewers
· How to continue core project funding, or to spin off your project for even greater impact
· How to make sure real empowerment is part of your plan, to evaluate from within the project and build out an effort that is truly local and truly sustainable.
To expand your network and inspire your project next-steps, please go to www.ases.org/conference to register now. We will see you August 5-8 at the University of Colorado, Boulder.
If you require additional assistance, please let us know. Remember, the Workshop alone, using code Tuesday100 is free for Challenge Participants! The 40% discount, using Challenge40 for the full conference, Solar 2018, won't run out, and you'll be glad you joined in this national effort to Broaden Access to Solar! At Solar 2018, there’s so much more to learn and enjoy!
